I’ve been doing this work for a long time. As much as I’ve learned, there is so much more. When I see patterns emerge in my life, I take note because I know there is something within them that could be gold.
I have amazing clients and appreciate them so dearly. They are all over the board when it comes to metaphysics, from novice to highly skilled. I’m a corporate psychic so obviously I work with business owners and those in management. I also do private readings and it is within my private readings this week that I noticed a pattern.
Nearly every reading I’ve conducted over the past week involved ego. It may have been a client’s ego, their partners or parents or even child’s ego..but somewhere ego made its presence known.
Ego is not all bad...Ego alerts us that we are feeling threatened. Ego wants to keep us separated from other people as a way of protecting itself, but it acts as if it is protecting us.
Our soul is filled with divine intelligence; our ego is not. Our ego is distrustful and cynical and does not come from a space of knowing that there is enough..for everyone.
When our ego is up-in-arms it’s hard to hear the voice of intuition.
Much of the pain we experience is because we relate to our ego and fight what is.
So where, I wondered was I allowing my ego to rule instead of my soul? I wouldn’t have noticed the pattern if there was not something for me to learn.
I realized that I was mistakenly allowing myself to be ruled by a fear of not being decent at something I was learning to do. Performance dance. My ego had rushed forward to let me know, over and over again, that I’m not twenty-years-old anymore.
Seriously, as if I needed that reminder. I’m one of the local celebrities this year dancing at the 7th annual Dancing with the Twin Cities Celebrities fund raiser. I’ve been part of a substantial number of fundraisers over the years, public and private, but never, ever have I participated in something like this.
I’m pretty sure the committee that invited me to participate knows I’m not twenty.
When we judge, our ego is at work. When we judge, we compare.
I was judging myself.

The ability to notice a pattern in our own behavior doesn’t rest on seeing it somewhere else. If you notice yourself doing something like critiquing people, ask yourself how you are critiquing yourself and why.
When you find yourself making assumptions or judging someone, or critiquing, correcting, or controlling them, you are in fear. Fear hangs out with ego. They go way back.
This creates an obstruction in our energy flow. Our egos inflate while our intellect and spirit are diminished. So our intuition naturally slows or shuts down. If you reopen your mind, however, you are returned to a blissful neutral. The flow of psychic
data is now liberated and able to reach the conscious mind at a more rapid speed.
So what can be learned from this? When you see a pattern in your life, look for the story it is telling you about yourself. See the story through the eyes of self-love.
We can electrify our world through the use of affirmations! Take a moment morning, noon and night to read your favorite affirmations!
