I Kicked up my Heels to Help Find a Cure for Blood Cancer!

On February 20th, 2016 I competed in dance contest called Dancing with the Twin Cities Celebrities.

This wonderful Arthur Murray event is a fundraiser involving a few local celebrities and charities in Minnesota. My dance Partner Trenton Quinn and I were voted Audience Favorite and I was awarded the 2016 Charity Ambassador award for raising the most money for my chosen charity!

Trent Jodi doen the dip COLORI am truly over-the-top delighted to have been a part of the Seventh Annual Dancing with the Twin Cities’ Celebrities fund raiser. The experience was simply exhilarating! I met some wonderful people and it was fabulous to be chosen as the Audience Favorite and I am overjoyed that Arthur Murray studio and I raised more money for LLS this year than ever before!

Dancing did wonderful things for me, body and spirit and I would highly recommend it to people of all ages!

Jodi and Trent SAMBA practive January 2016Participating in a dance contest is not something I ever thought I would or could do. My first reaction to the invitation to participate in the Dancing with the Twin Cities Celebrities charity fund raiser was wow, what an honor and then fear set in… there is no way I’m doing this, not a chance! But when I realized I could raise money to help find a cure for something that has taken the lives of so many, from infants to the elderly, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and onto the dance floor.

Invest in Finding Cures

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the largest voluntary cancer research agency specifically focused on finding cures and better treatments for blood cancer patients. With the scope and scale to fund many projects at the same time, LLS supports hundreds of cancer scientists around the world.

Commercial enterprises consider blood cancers as “orphan diseases” with small markets and limited profit potential, LLS funds research based on medical need without regard to commercial return or market size. Every dollar invested comes from charitable support from concerned donors.

LLS funds hundreds of promising researchers at leading cancer centers and universities worldwide. And since LLS has no campus or laboratories to maintain, your investment funds more research and less overhead than a donation made elsewhere.
